Guercino in the studio

From Oct. 28, 2023 to Feb. 11, 2024, the Pinacoteca Nazionale in Bologna presents a major exhibition project dedicated to the celebrated painter Giovanni Francesco Barbieri, known as Guercino. The exhibition focuses on key moments in his artistic and business career, examining the success of his family-run workshop and professional dynamics with trusted clients and collaborators.

The Accounting Book

A key element of the exhibition is the 'Book of Accounts,' kindly loaned by the Archiginnasio Library in Bologna. This ledger details the works sold, the names of clients, and their earnings, providing a valuable inventory of the many works produced in his thriving atelier.

Multimedia project

In addition, visitors can further explore the exhibition and learn more about Guercino's painting technique through a multimedia table. This tool offers knowledge paths based on the revelations that emerged from the diagnostic analyses conducted on the works in the Pinacoteca di Bologna by the Diagnostic Laboratory for Cultural Heritage of the University of Bologna, as part of the project 'Guercino. Beyond Color'.

Diritti dell'interessato
 •	Diritto di accesso (art. 15 GDPR). Diritto dell’Interessato ad ottenere l’accesso ai propri dati e di porre reclamo all'autorità di controllo;
•	Diritto di rettifica (art. 16 GDPR). Diritto dell’Interessato ad ottenere dal Titolare del trattamento la rettifica dei dati personali inesatti che lo riguardano;
